First Inning Readers,

We have some exciting things happening at First Inning that I hope you will all be a part of. I first of all want to unveil our official Twitter account @firstinning. Our Twitter will post links to our new articles, to interesting takes on prospects from around the web, and to continue our conversation with you about prospects. It will also be the only place to get my thoughts and insights from Phoenix as First Inning goes on the road to cover the Arizona Fall League live from November 6th-15th!

I’m sure you’ve noticed that it’s been pretty quiet here lately, and I have some good news and some bad news on that front. The bad news is that for personal reasons Doug Gray has had to leave First Inning. I wanted to take a moment to thank Doug for all of his hard work this season in bringing you original content from all over the minor leagues.

The good news is that I’m excited to announce a new partnership with ProjectProspect.com. Adam Foster and his team do incredible work, both in finding, identifying, and scouting prospects with their own eyes and with analyzing minor league performances using sabermetric analysis to predict future stars. One way in which that partnership will show itself is Project Prospect articles appearing here at First Inning, and we will be working together on some exciting new projects that we will be announcing soon, so stay tuned!
