This team is not exactly the best prospect team, but a team of guys who had the best seasons. Age is taken into consideration and a younger guy with a very good season will likely get the nod over an older guy with a great season. Most of this league’s top talent didn’t stay around long enough to accumulate 300 plate appearances.
Catcher - Austin Romine
The Yankees catcher wasn’t the best catcher on his own team until super prospect Jesus Montero was promoted, but Romine is pretty good himself. The 20 year old hit .276/.322/.441 for Tampa with a 6% walk rate and a 16.2% strikeout rate while throwing out 30% of attempted base stealers from behind the plate.

First Base - Chris Parmelee
Parmelee spent the year in Fort Meyers where he hit .258/.359/.441 with 27 doubles and 16 home runs. The 21 year old Twins prospect had a 13% walk rate and a 21.8% strikeout rate.
Honorable Mention - Matthew Rizzotti
Second Base - Damon Sublett
The Yankees second sacker hit .270/.376/.416 in 473 plate appearances for the Tampa Yankees. Sublett had 11 stolen bases to go along with a 13.7% walk rate and 19.7% strikeout rate.

Shortstop - Reese Havens
The Mets first round pick in 2008 led all shortstops in the FSL with a .784 OPS that was made up of a .247/.361/.422 line. The 22 year old also had a 12.8% walk rate and 17% strikeout rate in 430 plate appearances.
Honorable Mention - Steven Singleton
Third Base - Zachary Lutz
Lutz hit .284/.381/.441 in 415 plate appearances for the St. Lucie Mets. The 23 year old had a 12% walk rate and a 17.3% strikeout rate to go with 19 doubles, 2 triples and 11 home runs.
Honorable Mention - Zealous Wheeler
Outfield - Brandon Guyer
The Chicago Cubs outfield prospect hit .347/.407/.453. The 23 year old would steal 23 bases and had a 7.9% walk rate along with an 11.1% strikeout rate before being promoted to AA after 305 plate appearances with Daytona.
Outfield - Timothy Kennelly
Kennelly hit .303/.382/.450 in 315 plate appearances before earning a promotion to AA. The outfielder from the Phillies system had a 10.5% walk rate and a 15.6% strikeout rate in Clearwater.
Outfield - Caleb Gindl
The Brewers outfield prospect was fourth in the league for players with at least 300 plate appearances with his .822 OPS consisting of a .277/.363/.459 line. Gindl had a 12.3% walk rate and a 19.9% strikeout rate as well as 18 steals for Brevard County.

Starting Pitcher - Scott Gorgen
The Cardinals starter had a 2.92 ERA over 74 innings for Palm Beach. Gorgen had a 24.2% strikeout rate and a 10.6% walk rate with a 1.11 WHIP.
Starting Pitcher - David Bromberg
Minnesota’s pitching prospect posted a 2.70 ERA over 153 innings pitched. The 21 year old had a 9.8% walk rate to go along with a 23.1% strikeout rate for Fort Meyers.
Starting Pitcher - Elih Villanueva
Villanueva’s 6.11 Strikeout to Walk ratio led the league and helped the Marlins right hander post a 3.47 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over 158 innings pitched in Jupiter.
Starting Pitcher - Evan Anundsen
The Brewers right hander had a 2.69 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP over his 130 innings pitched for Brevard County. Anundsen had a 7.7% walk rate and a 22.2% strikeout rate to go along with a 53% groundball rate.

Relief Pitcher - Robert Bell
Splitting time between the rotation and bullpen, Bell had a 2.43 ERA in 96.1 innings with a 0.91 WHIP. The 23 year old also had a 30.1% strikeout rate to go with a 5.9% walk rate.
Relief Pitcher - Matthew Gorgen
Matthew joins his twin Scott on the list as he posted a 0.57 ERA with a 0.84 WHIP. Gorgen had a 33.1% strikeout rate with a 9% walk rate.
